First Time Here?
Thanks for being here. I know your time is valuable, so I’ll keep it short. I own a company called 4LC Studios. We do video production (weddings, commercial, and anything else that grabs our attention). We love telling stories (I know that’s what everyone says, but I really mean it). This youtube channel, and everything I post is about the journey. I love sharing what I’m learning, how I’m growing, and how I’m failing. I hope you’ll follow my journey and be a part of the conversation.
Are you doing something creative? Send it my way, I’d love to check it out.
Thanks for the review, I was looking for a good editing monitor, I think I will take this one 🙂
What’s your favorite monitor for video editing?
Nice video Scott. Well done. I am looking for what monitor to use for my video editing work station. I notice the way you have your desk set up with the monitor on a shelf. I like that and would see to be a strong consideration for my set up. How physically tall and how wide is the monitor? How deep is the shelf you are using? Does this arrangement work well for you? Thanks again for a great presentation.
Hello, i’ve seen/heard people saying curved is not good for video/phtot editing, because it curves the image and straight lines are no so straight anymore. Does that bother You or is it not so ?
It was technically 1996 for IM, and 98. Not 95. HAHA
will you share your settings for video editing on the monitor, thanks
Thanks for uploading this! Subscribed 🙂
found me a good youtuber who also inspires me. Nice Video you good sir.
Hey man.. Great video.. very informative.. one question, is the 34" full HD good enough for video editing or do you think a QHD model would be better? Im trying to justify whether I should go for a pricier QHD model or is the Full HD model thats good enough for the job
I’m considering the same, I use 2 x 22inch monitors as I like to have a full preview at 22inch open always, but I’m thinking of going to a 34inch ultrawide now.
This gave me some good things to think about.
What is the model number of this monitor? I’m in the uk and the link goes to USA Amazon but doesn’t state the actual model number.
I have the curved version but find the blacks are way too crushed. Cant seem to get mine to look right on video
ima do dual lg ultra wide 😀
Sounds interesting – but i’m using "Pancake timeline" technique,
I wonder if Ultra Wide monitors can survive this.
Hey Scott, I recently got the cheaper 25in ultrawide LG monitor but now I want to get an upgrade. I think I’m going to get a standard 16:9 monitor and keep the ultrawide for other uses. I’m super torn between different monitors.

The top dell one has a 27in 4k IPS display, and the bottom one is the LG ultrafine 4k monitor which has only a 21.5in display. The LG monitor is USB C which keeps me coming back to it. What do you think? Do you have any other recommendations?
